Hill Country K9 Club’s Favorite Local Vendors, Service Providers, & Tips

Let’s talk safety & well-being.

Socializing your dog: Proper socialization literally opens up their world and provides a infinitely better life for them.  We offer our unique off leash experience for well-socialized and completely trustworthy dogs in a play type environment. They don’t have to play but they must have the experience to make “good doggie decisions” in an offleash environment.

Hill Country K9 Club provides a safe, positive experience that introduces your pet to friends they can relate to; friends that recognize them and speak their language! But it is not for everyone and we will ask a lot of questions to determine if they are a good fit for our pack.

Let’s talk local favorites.

Veterinarian: We are blessed with so many amazing local vets in our area. My highest recommendation, though, is for Dr. Benji Allredge of Alldredge Mobile Vet. Dr. Allredge is always reachable, reasonably priced, and thorough in practice; all of which provide the utmost peace of mind. He cares for large animals, too!

  • Contact Dr. Allredge: (830) 995-4500 | 734 Farm To Market Rd 473, Comfort, TX 78013

Dog trainer: Lesley Ward is great to work with and flexible with appointments: She will come to your home to train and address your dog’s behaviors or even move your puppy’s training to a public area which provides a more challenging training environment.

Dog food: I could talk all day about this! I feed my dog raw dog food from Texas Tripe - they deliver to Texas once a month - this is the BEST food for dogs! 2nd best would be cook for them! Or purchase the cooked food at HEB from FreshPet. 3rd best is dry - and let me tell you - that option does take most of the nutrition out of the food at the high temps they cook at - so they have to add a lot of additives to get it to be nutritious which are usually synthetic. It is not the best choice but if you have to choose that research ingredients! Stay away from Corn. If you have questions, TEXT me!
